Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine organized the third press tour of African journalists to Ukraine as part of the adopted communication strategy “Ukraine – African
States.” Among the participants was a representative from Tanzania.
Journalists from eight countries — Tanzania, Ghana, Zambia, Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, South Africa, and Senegal — visited Lviv, Kyiv, and the de-occupied areas of the Kyiv region. They witnessed the consequences of Russian aggression and spoke with Ukrainian officials, experts, and citizens.
The purpose of such visits is to show the real Ukraine, uncover the truth about the war, and strengthen partnerships with African countries. Ukraine values the support, openness, and professionalism of the journalists who were not afraid to come to a country fighting for its freedom.
Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha met with the participants of the press tour, emphasizing the importance of partnership in the areas of food security, trade, education, innovation, and cultural exchange. Ukraine looks forward to the support of African capitals and the African Union in restoring peace.
Ukraine is committed to building equal and mutually beneficial relations with African countries, as a shared vision of the future — based on respect for international law and the values of peace — is the key to global stability and prosperity.
